SENIOR BONUS CLERK X1 (GRADING B5)

 Qualifying Criteria :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certificate in payroll administration, accounting, or human resources
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in payroll or bonus administration.
  • Experience with payroll systems such as SAGE or similar.
  • Basic to intermediary Excel experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and company bonus structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong number and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and confidentiality.
  • Respond to employees’ queries regarding bonus payments.
  • Support payroll processes during the bonus/payroll cycle.
  • South African Citizenship
  • Clear Criminal Record

 Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the preparation, calculation, and processing of employee bonus payments.
  • Verify and authorise bonus schedules submitted by departments.
  • Conduct audits and reconciliations of bonus data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and update bonus records in the payroll system.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports related to bonus payments and trends.
  • Liaise with HR, Finance, and departmental managers to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, collective agreements, and statutory regulations.
  • Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift
  • Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
